Information according to the Web Accessibility Act (WZG)

Declaration on accessibility

Autobahnen- und Schnellstraßen-Finanzierungs-Aktiengesellschaft (in short "ASFINAG") endeavours to make its websites accessible without barriers in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) as amended to implement Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council dated 26 October 2016 on barrier-free access to the websites and mobile applications of public authorities (Official Journal L 327 dated 2 December 2016, page 1).

This declaration on accessibility applies to the website https://shop.asfinag.at/.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website is partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the "Web content accessibility guidelines web – WCAG 2.1" and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08) due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

Incompatibility with accessibility regulations

  • Success criterion 1.3.1. (info and relations)
    On the "Terms of Use" page, the heading hierarchy is not yet linear or the marking of the heading structure does not correspond to the visual structure.
  • Success criterion 1.4.3. (minimum contrast)
    In the footer, the minimum contrast requirement is not fulfilled.
  • Success criterion 1.4.10 (automatic pagination)
    Individual tables are not responsive and lead to horizontal scrolling.
  • Success criterion 1.4.11. (Non-text contrast)
    On the detailed pages in the customer account, not all elements have sufficient contrast to the background.
  • Success criterion 2.1.1. (keyboard operation)
    In the toll planner (https://shop.asfinag.at/en/Toll-Planner/), entering the start and destination and operating the map itself are not barrier-free.
  • Success criterion 2.1.1. (Keyboard operation)
    Under "My overview" in the logged-in area in the "Select vehicle icon" function, it is not possible to insert and move a photo or select another vehicle symbol using the keyboard.

This content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

Third-party content or components and services, for example links to payment providers, or other third-party companies that are not within the control of ASFINAG, are excluded from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made for this third-party content with regard to compatibility with accessibility regulations.

Creation of this accessibility declaration

This declaration was drawn up on 23 September 2020.

The assessment of the compatibility of the website with the WZG for the implementation of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 took the form of a self-test according to WCAG 2.0 at conformity level AA in September 2020. The entire website https://shop.asfinag.at/ was checked. Individual page contents are regularly checked by the editorial team before publication.

The offers and services on this website are continuously improved and expanded. In doing so, usability and accessibility are of great importance to us.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with the answers you receive from the above-mentioned contact option, you can make a complaint to the Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the contact form.

These complaints are examined by the FFG to determine whether they relate to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act, in particular deficiencies in compliance with accessibility requirements, by the Federal Government or an institution attributable to it.
If the complaint is justified, the FFG must make recommendations to the Federal Government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures to remedy the existing shortcomings.
